Laura Sirikul is a freelance writer, researcher, and managing editor of The Nerds of Color. She has written for Elle Magazine, Variety, Empire Magazine, Entertainment Weekly, Timid Magazine, The LA Times, NBC News, Forbes, What To Watch, Inverse, Grammy, The Daily Beast, Primetimer, Nerdist, IGN, Den of Geek, Movie View Magazine, Red Carpet Report, The Hollywood Reporter, Nerd Reactorand many other outlets. She has appeared as a critic on NPR’s Pop Culture Happy Hour, BBC World News, and CBC’s Commotion. She is a Rotten Tomatoes-approved critic. She is also a member of the Asian American Journalists Association, the Los Angeles Press Club, the Critics’ Choice Association, the Television Critics Association, GALECA: The Society of LGBTQ Entertainment Critics, the Gold House Journalism Accelerator Program (2024 Cohort), and the BTS ARMY. 

Apart from addressing topics related to film and television, Laura strongly advocates for social and political awareness of the underrepresented in the entertainment industry, particularly within the Asian American community.
